The Sound Advice Project was designed to help parents give a message to their teenagers about abstaining from drug use. The idea is to take a sound wave and turn it into a custom bracelet. Geek-tastically fun.

Because so many of us make New Years resolutions that involve health and weight related issues (some 38% of resolutions made!), here’s a lovely and light salad of arugula, sliced tomato, and fresh mozzarella that makes it easy to stick to a healthier diet.

Favorite Cup o’ Soup for Season:
Here’s a recipe for a creamy homemade tomato and red pepper soup with huge ooey-gooey panko breadcrumb-coated chunks of mozzarella that just sort of hang and drip into the soup. Yes, please.
This is one of the best ways to get connected to various organizations and non-profits throughout the city that are looking for volunteers.
I want a dog just so that I put him in this costume.
This is one of my favorite reminders of the beauty of humanity. I cry. Every time.

Favorite “Screw this diet, I’m having dessert!”:
Thick graham crackers crust topped with Kit Kats layered under a luscious chocolate cheesecake then all topped with a chocolate glaze. Whosoever makes me this will win my heart.
It feels like this list of “56 Things To Do Instead of Spending Money” was written specifically for AmeriCorps members! #25 is my personal favorite, but there are lots of great tips for the frugal side of all of us.
